Responsibilities:
- Management or coordination of major multidisciplinary environmental assessment projects for one of Dillon’s largest clients, including route and site selection, impact assessment, mitigation and monitoring
- Coordination and delivery of environmental screenings or assessments for various other government and resource sector clients, including EAs for oil and gas, transportation and water supply projects
- Collaboration with/coordination of technical input from multidisciplinary project teams including planners, engineers, scientists, and technologists
- Facilitation of government agency reviews and public consultation
- Contribution to the development of client relationships and business growth in western Canada
Qualifications:
- A degree in planning, environmental design, biology, engineering or a related field
- Eight years’ work experience in environmental assessment and approvals, preferably in an industrial, resource, or consulting setting
- Full or provisional membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP), or eligibility for membership, will be considered an asset
Experience:
- Demonstrated success in the management or coordination of multidisciplinary environmental assessment projects
- Detailed working knowledge of federal and provincial environmental assessment legislation and the environmental assessment process
- Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary teamwork, government agency liaison, and public consultation
- Experience in business development and client relations
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
