Responsibilities:
- Preparation of design drawings for transportation, water and wastewater infrastructure projects, and for public and private sector site servicing
- Assistance in the coordination of multidisciplinary design team activities
- Contribution to business development activities including project proposals and presentations, and client liaison
- Field inspection services and shop drawing review during project construction
Qualifications:
- The appropriate university or college education
- Certified as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.), or be eligible for certification within six months
- Five years’ related work experience
Experience:
- Experience in the functional, preliminary and detailed design of integrated municipal infrastructure projects including roads, sewers and watermains, and of transportation facilities including arterial and collector roadways and provincial highways
- Proficient in the use of current AutoCAD software (both locations) and MicroStation (versions J and 8) (Ottawa location only)
- Familiarity with Civil 3D/Land Desktop and InRoads software
- Strong oral and written communication, organization and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Municipal Class Environmental Assessment requirements would be an asset
