Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Renewal PSCM Manager, the PSCM Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning and strategic acquisition of goods and services to fulfil the above stages of upstream North Sea activity.
Networking with Renewal operational teams
Pursuing demand management processes
Supporting the development of supply chain strategies at the conceptual stage of project plans
Working closely with the Sector Strategy Team to support the development and implementation of sector strategies.
Developing and executing supply chain strategies for projects at the execute phase and/or developing supply chain strategies for Drilling and completions activity.
Implementation of supply chain strategies through the tender and contract negotiation process.
Developing contractual documentation that is comprehensive such that it effectively manages the company’s risk and secures appropriate business value.
Support effective and rigorous post contract management and administration to ensure full compliance with the contract and its supporting rules.
Maintaining knowledge of the marketplace and emerging trends.
Ensuring compliance with Policies and Procedures.
Supporting the strategy and objectives of the Global PSCM Function
Risk assessment and identification of opportunities related to supply chains
Support of supplier performance management processes.
Provide internal facilitation, communication, and guidance with respect to PSCM issues
Adopt the use of “best practice” procurement tools, techniques and processes
Develop positive supplier relationships that align with business objectives, with an emphasis on value delivery, professionalism and a high ethical standards
Provide strong support to Contracts Managers and Contract Accountable Managers in the administration and management of contracts.
Provide and/or assist with conflict resolution
Provide Supply Chain leadership and management in multi-functional work groups.
Develop network to secure significant levels of market knowledge
Requirements:
Good pre and post contract Supply Chain experience.
Experience with the procurement of complex service contracts
Knowledgeable of with some experience in the use of “best practice” procurement tools and methodologies.
Advanced Computer skills (MS Office “Professional Suite”, Maximo, MS Project, Internet & Intranet)
Ability to operate as part of a team.
Contract and Relationship Management
Sound knowledge of contract and commercial law
Excellent negotiating skills
Forward thinking and striving for continuous improvement principles
Planning and Analytical Skills
Desirable criteria & qualifications In addition to the essential criteria and qualifications, the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:
Professional qualifications preferred – Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and/or Business Degree.
Experience of upstream oil and gas operations is preferable but not essential.
