Responsibilities:
Sector Manager is responsible for delivering breakthrough procurement sector strategies and associated contracts to support the North Sea Transformation. Improving the performance of our supply chain is a key element of our transformation.
The role of the sector manager will be to identify the optimal way to deliver sector value and to commercialise the proposal for use in the business.
Commercial arrangements will provide the foundation for better contract performance and the successful candidate will be tasked with embedding the benefits into the business.
Sector Manager will report to the PSCM Strategy Manager.
Requirements:
Maintain a five year sector(s) demand profile which reflects the intended business usage in the market(s).
Analyze the market sector(s) to establish how it is best levered for business benefit.
Develop and deliver breakthrough procurement sector strategies to support the business transformation.
Ensure local sector strategies are effectively linked to the global sector directorate plans.
Commercialize the procurement sector strategies into contracts through negotiation and/or appropriate market exercises to deliver cash to the business.
Embed the commercial arrangements into the business to ensure the original sector strategy is fully exploited.
Ensure relationships with key suppliers in the sector are developed and well managed.
Drive the development of overall SPU overarching strategies and associated sourcing models to support sector management.
Desirable criteria & qualifications In addition to the essential criteria and qualifications, the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:
Degree and or professional qualification in either a technical or business discipline.
Sound background in Procurement and Supply Chain Management with significant direct experience in the following areas : procurement strategy development, tender preparation & evaluation, commercial & contractual negotiation, contract drafting & execution and general post contract management & risk/claims mitigation work.
Solid contracting skills and the ability to negotiate such contractual terms with contractors.
Sound understanding and experience in the implementation of range of remuneration mechanism options appropriate for a variety of development contracts.
