Location: Asab , United Arab Emirates

Requirements:

Bachelor of science degree in Engineering (electrical desired) or equivalent related work experience
Prior experience in electrical precommissioning, commissioning and startup of petrochemical systems/facilities
Prior experience writing technical procedures, and performing technical procedures

Responsibilities:

Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of startup, operations, or maintenance for a project, including reviews of designs for plant operability and safety and jobsite precommissioning and startup assignments as directed.
Perform work that involves conventional practice but may include a variety of complex features such
as conflicting requirements, unsuitability of conventional methods, or difficult coordination requirements.
Assist with the preparation of operations manuals.
Plan, guide, or prepare project administrative and technical documents as required for startup, maintenance, operation, or testing.
Coordinate startup between project engineering, construction, specialty staff groups, clients, and vendors.
Assume a lead role over other engineers for specific tasks as assigned.
Direct overall startup activities on specific assignments.
Train assigned personnel and assists them in their professional development
Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs startup activities within a discipline for the assigned project.
Provides startup supervision or assistance at the jobsite of certain projects as assigned.
Coordinates, and reviews the work of assigned client?s operating and maintenance personnel.
Participates in startup forecasting and preparation activities as required.
Prepares or directs the preparation of operations manuals.
Ensures that work being performed is within scope of services and within
budget.
Inputs to project management, engineering, and construction to ensure startup requirements are incorporated into project activities, including review of project designs and construction to ensure plant operability and operating personnel safety.
Coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval on work as it is accomplished.
Reviews and approves key startup methods, procedures, and schedules on assigned project(s).
Develops operations manuals as required.
Performs performance reviews for personnel supervised and provides appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development.

Additional Information:

Site is located in the U.A.E.
Assignment is estimated to be 11 & 12 months.
