Responsibilities:

 Direct involvement in decision making / direction setting at senior BU / functional level 
Provides significant advanced advice and counsel to Business and PSCM leaders 
Provides assurance globally in the area of PSCM 
Develops / gathers innovative, precedent setting ideas and applies strategically important solutions to PSCM 
Applies value-adding innovation and adapts business processes and strategies from other companies/ businesses/ industries which significantly increase BP's business value 
Participates in external professional bodies, often invited to share knowledge 
Leads best practice and use of knowledge management processes and tools in PSCM 
A leading, driving force in the networks in which they are involved, distinguished by the level and quality of their knowledge sharing and personal impact 
Actively coaches, mentors and develops other professionals 
Provides expert advice to support global PSCM initiatives 
Participates in peer reviews for major project activities 
Develops and delivers training programmes 
Develops contacts for PSCM with external companies / educational establishments and industry bodies 
Provides ad hoc advice to the PSCM network 
Provides guidance to SPUs in order to provide a consistent approach / single face to the market, to ensure that contractual spend is managed in an optimal fashion 
Advises on strategy design to optimize effective delivery of the E&P PSCM strategy and deliver overall efficiency of PSCM activities 
Actively contributes to the transformation of procurement supply chain management 
Participates in creative thinking and helps translate PSCM ideas to the PSCM community 
Constantly reviews PSCM practices in other industries out side of  both local and global to establish opportunities for improving ways of working in our company
 Drives the latest thinking and techniques in Supplier Relationship Management, SQM and other processes 
Proactively operates across segments and  businesses to the wider benefit  
Anticipates the future to maximise benefit whilst minimizing risk 
Defines and adjust measures that include both tangible and intangible elements; and reflect the prevailing opportunities in the marketplace 
Proactively explores the wider supply and industry markets to identify opportunities that we can leverage for great benefit delivery or to mitigate supply risk eg Technology developments, acquisition impact 

Requirements:

Legal authorization to work in the UK on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer 
The willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position 
Minimum of a University degree (four year / Bachelor's degree) 
Demonstrates skilful application of Project Management Skills, Financial Skills 
Demonstrates mastery of Demand management, Sourcing, Supply chain risk management, Contract execution and management, Supplier performance management, Materials management, Negotiating and Influencing Strategy 
Demonstrates expertise in Market sector strategy development & application 
Advocates and proactively supports living by our Values , implementing the Code of Conduct & BP’s Management Framework , delivering process & personal safety , driving to make a difference , bringing out the best in people , developing internal & external relationships , performance management , commercial focus , creating the future 
Relevant oil and gas industries experience 
Relevant commercial experience 
Relevant purchasing and supply chain experience, professional training, development and affiliation
