Responsibilities:
Plan and execute completions for subsea oil, gas and water injection wells with no harm to people and no harm to the environment.
Undertake completion design including sand control, flow modeling, stress analysis, equipment specification and selection, cost estimating
Awareness of and involvement in new completions technologies, with appropriate incorporation into designs and work programmes.
Prepare completion programmes. ensuring amendments and dispensations to policy are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed
Monitor, evaluate and benchmark completion operations performance to identify key learnings and new engineering studies to drive continuous improvement.
Liaise with sub-surface and production team to ensure life-of-field requirements are built into the completion design.
Perform third party Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
Requirements:
A strong track record as a Completion Engineer including demonstable experience in : completion design and installation, completion integrity and flow assurance.
Design and planning skills, personal and proactive commitment to HSSE, with some coaching and mentoring.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, demonstrated by an ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
A willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time to offshore locations in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position, as needed.
Educated to degree level in engineering or a related discipline.
Desirable criteria & qualifications In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:
a range sand control completion types
downhole flow control completions
Understanding of well performance and flow assurance.
IWCF Well Control certificate or equivalent.
Competence with Landmark well engineering software packages (DIMS, Wellcat, Prosper).
Participation in continuous improvement processes.
Experience of working with third party service providers.
