Responsibilities:
Management and execution of R&D and technology programs in the areas of materials and corrosion
Provision of technical support to the world-wide E&P businesses (primarily major field development projects but also mature assets). This will include root cause failure analysis, risk assessment and management of change guidance for materials selection and corrosion control issues.
Development and maintenance of our Group internal standards
Representing the our Group in external organisations and committees
Provision of coaching and mentoring to developing engineers
Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the UK on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer
Degree qualified in Metallurgy, Materials Science or a similar discipline
Specialist experience in a corrosion and materials role
Experience in the oil and gas industry
Specialist knowledge of the main corrosion mechanisms experienced in carbon and stainless steel and common non-ferrous alloys
Ability to work across technology functions and within multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent team-working skills
