Responsibilities:
Contribute to delivery of the Operations and Engineering Technology Unit Performance Contract, through the objectives of the Integrity Management Team
Provide technical service support to major growth centres - Azerbaijan, Angola and Russia - as well as mature areas such as the North Sea, Egypt, Indonesia and the Middle East
Provide assistance in the development of Major Project Integrity Management plans and implementation of 3 year rolling Integrity Management plans for existing operations
Pro-actively manage and support R&D/technology development projects within the EPT technology program focused on achieving Operations and Projects strategic objectives
Demonstrate strong health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance record with an understanding and commitment to safety and environmental requirements
Provide coaching and development for developing engineers and new graduates
Requirements:
Must legally be authorized to work in the UK on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
An understanding of typical external corrosion mechanisms
Expert knowledge or experience in Coating selection, specification and performance
An understanding of Cathodic Protection awareness of limitations and industry standards.
Ability to troubleshoot in project and operational environments
Degree qualified in an appropriate technical discipline (Materials Engineering or equivalent)
Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently in order to perform the essential job functions
Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills
Strong team player with the ability to work standalone in challenging situations
Experience in the Oil & Gas industry
Chartered member (or equivalent) of a relevant Engineering Institution (eg IOMMM)
Experience in the Oil & Gas industry both onshore and offshore
Experience in of the application of corrosion control in both design and operating environments
