This position will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of the internal services provided from the corporate services department including: supply chain and asset management, tender proposal development, managing the maintenance and growth of the Companys information and communications technology (ICT), business development, and office administration. The Corporate Services Manager will manage internal operations against approved annual budgets with the goal of maximizing customer satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure that internal operations of the Company contribute to the development and maintenance of an effective working relationship with the Companys clients
- Prepare and deliver the Companys corporate services business plan
- Work closely with the President and the Construction Manager to ensure consistent and timely preparation of tender proposals and development of contract agreements.
- Update and maintain Braids procurement and subcontractor management policies and procedures.
- Research, develop and implement standards for use in tendering, negotiating, and purchase of goods and services required by the company
- Develop and maintain the companys information and technology plan to ensure system infrastructure, and emergency recovery facilities are fully functional and meeting daily operational needs.
- Ensure that all corporate services are delivered according to Company policies and procedures with in budget and on schedule.
- Develop, implement and maintain standards of practice for filing, document control and administrative systems
- Identify risks to the Company (operations execution, financial, personnel), estimate their likelihood of occurrence and impact upon the Company if they should eventuate, then implement measures to mitigate the significant risks.
- Develop and maintain policies and standards of practice for Braids promotional, sales, marketing and branding programs.
Qualification and skills
- 10+ years of broad progressively responsible experience in a large or diverse organization, with an emphasis on policy and procedure development
- 5+ years direct experience in supervisory or managerial roles
- Post Secondary Education in either Project Management, Business or Engineering is desirable
- Completion of or working towards Certificate in Purchasing Management Association of Canada (P.M.A.C)
- Extensive knowledge of tendering and contract law
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to directly management teams
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to properly coordinate large volume activities and meet deadlines
- Research, analytical and planning, and change management skills
- Computer literate with all software packages including Microsoft Office and scheduling programs
- Work effectively as a team and the desire to contribute to a long term endeavor with Braid.
