Job Description
Specific duties will include:
· preparation of narrative specifications, specification data sheets and request for quotations packages;
· comprehensive technical evaluation of bids, review of design drawings and calculations of the recommended vendor/supplier/fabricator; analyses of equipment performance;
· witness mechanical and performance testing of equipment; interface with Piping Designers, Stress, Materials, Process, Civil, Structural and Instrument engineers;
· For existing facilities revamp and re-rate of existing equipment and in some cases as field engineers assist in commissioning and start-up of plants.
· The Pressure Vessel Engineers will completely design a pressure vessel using in-house computer programs and work with designers who will create an AUTOCAD drawing.
Job Requirements
· BSc in Engineering and a minimum of two years relevant experience.
· Familiarity with computer applications such as mechanical equipment rating programs, database administration, stress analysis software, spreadsheets, word processing, graphics packages, and Windows is an asset.
· 2 years experience working for an Oil and Gas Engineering/Consulting firm ideally in Alberta
