Responsibilities:
Performs construction quality control activities in a technical or administrative capacity.
Responsible for the performance of on-site tasks related to quality control compliance.
Ensures inspection duties are in accord with quality program.
Responsible for documentation of inspection activities and maintenance of quality control records.
Generally assigned to a single discipline activity interfacing with a multi-discipline operation.
May have leadership responsibility providing technical direction to less experienced construction quality control engineers.
On a large job, performs assigned activities in one discipline, interfacing with related tasks being performed in more than one discipline within a single area.
On a medium to small job, performs assigned activities in one discipline interfacing with other disciplines in all areas of the job.
Requirements:
Implement the project construction quality program at site
Carry out quality control activities including inspection, examination and testing to verify the quality of the installations and ensure construction operations are in compliance with project specifications
Implement the quality control intervention points on the
inspection and test plans, ITP (surveillance, witness and mandatory inspection, and record review)
Sign-off ITPs and quality control forms after all activities are complete, conformant and required records verified
Review subcontractors quality control procedures and plans
Implement the project quality control procedures, inspections and test plans, and construction procedures
Implement the surveillance inspection program over subcontractors
to ensure conformity to project specifications/standards
Perform receipt inspection and monitoring of interim construction site storage areas for permanent plant materials
Implement the project material control requirements
Implement and verify the document control process at site
Perform inspection and testing of in-process and completed installations
Prepare deviation reports to document nonconforming conditions as required
Implement the project requirements for control of deficient items
Control calibrated measuring and test equipment used on the
project
Develop punchlists of incomplete work
Implement the project records retention requirements
