Description:
As the national recruiter for our client, a leading pioneer in the area of seabed to surface engineering construction in the off-shore industry is search for an intermediate to senior level Subsea Construction Engineer to join their team in St. John's, Newfoundland. This is a permanent, staff position with a progressive and well regarded organization that treats its employees as partners.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will provide pre-commissioning engineering design services in the discipline of subsea construction with respect to projects in the off-shore in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. On an ongoing basis, you will also provide support for projects outside of Atlantic Canada which will require occasional travel.
Interested candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in the subsea discipline
- An undergraduate degree or higher in civil-structural or mechanical engineering
- Experience in pre-commissioning
- A desire to work within a team environment and to mentor junior engineers
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with STAAD is considered an asset but is not essential
