Skill Requirements:
- Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
- Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable, Not required
- Experience: 5 years or more
- Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
- Major Work Area: Estimating
- Type of Experience: Industrial
- Project Size Estimating Experience: $8,000,001 +
- Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Spreadsheets, Estimating packages, Take-off packages, Scheduling packages
- Specific Skills: Prepare estimates of labour and material costs, Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors, Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads, Estimate pre-contract costs, Utilize quantity take-off procedures
- Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail
- Essential Skills: Document use, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information
- Other Information: Develop cost estimates and presentations. Validate material quantities and check total installed cost estimates Proficiency in Primavera. Ability to work extended hours with flexibility to travel.
