Location: Fort McMurray, AB, Canada

This is an additional Operations position that has been approved.  The successful candidate will specify, install, maintain and support a variety of instrument, electrical and control systems. Reporting to the E & I Supervisor, this position will perform the following functions and oversee Electrical /Instrumentation technician contractors.
 
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Cost management against established budgets;
  • Jointly accountable in cooperation with the E & I Supervisor for all execution of emergency and planned maintenance activities including turnarounds and reliability concerns;
  • Safety and environmental compliance following Long Lake SESR policies and practices;
  • Mentorship of junior employees, trainees and trades people;
  • Organize, supervise and/or perform major and minor Instrument/Electrical equipment repairs;
  • Organize, supervise and/or perform routine maintenance on all Instrument/Electrical equipment;
  • Plan and implement a preventative maintenance program for all Instrument/Electrical equipment;
  • Work with and train contract technicians;
  • Perform work in a safe and efficient manner to established Industry standards;
  • Provide technical expertise to assist the contractor Technicians as required.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Dual Ticketed Journeyman or Instrument Journeyman;
  • DCS, Delta V and field bus experience a definite asset;
  • 5 years experience in an oil/ gas processing plant environment.
