One of our prestigious clients has recently engaged our firm to assist them in their recruitment for the following position: Project Controls Specialist
General Overview:
- Our client is one of the top oil & gas producers, who enjoy a strong corporate culture, embraces the core values of commitment to excellence, honesty, integrity, and respect for the individual, teamwork and creativity.
- In accordance with these guiding principals our client is seeking multiple Project Control Specialists to fill several intermediate to senior level roles.
Specific Accountabilities:
As a Project Controls Generalist responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- All activities associated with the estimating, planning and scheduling, cost control and project reports.
- Preparation of the project master schedule and detailed schedules,
- Implementing the project budget.
- Development of the project control procedures that encompass: budget, management, trending, post estimating, reporting project planning and progress (engineering, procurement and construction).
- Support the Project Managers and team needs.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidates will posses the following qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering or related studies.
- 10+ years experience in project controls
- Good knowledge of planning and scheduling, estimating and cost control
- Dynamic leadership capabilities and bias towards autonomy
- Significant knowledge of all project management functions, contract administration, procurement, material control, economics, accounting, fiscal, labor laws, contract and legal matters
- Knowledge of relevant computer applications such as Primavera
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written);
- AACE or PMI certification would be an asset.
- Must have working knowledge and computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
