Job Description
Outcomes of the Position: Responsible for a group of workers and work as part of the group, primarily pertaining to the inspection duties and functions of the Quality Control Department. Assign, instruct and train employees in their duties. Issue work to employees, check and inspect their work, make corrections and adjustments, assist employees with problems, maintain the flow of work. Detect faulty operations of equipment in a proper manner. Follow quality and quantity requirements. Have general overview of National Oilwell Varco Quality Program. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities and identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. Verify the implementation of solutions.
Qualifications
Skill Set: Good communications skills; good organizational skills; teamwork / teaching skills; computer literacy; decision-making ability; effecfiveness under pressure; attention to details; multi-tasking; dedication to outcomes. Experience with or familiarity with oilfield equipment a plus. Education/Training: High School Diploma/GED. One year related work experience. Two years continuous related work experience with the same employer in lieu of educational requirement. Ability to read and write English. Capable of passing annual eye exam.
