Job Description
To inspect and action acceptance or rejection (based on established criteria) of incoming raw materials.
To inspect and action acceptance or rejection (based on established criteria) of production product.
To facilitate and maintain close working relations with members of manufacturing, production and engineering departments.
To action and complete daily/routine follow-up on accepted, rejected, and concessioned materials, returned goods, quarantined goods, and scrapped goods.
To evaluate corrective and preventive actions in terms of effectiveness.
To assume reasonability for maintaining equipment, tooling and machinery calibrations, documents, and related processes.
To report the basis (as appropriate) for evaluation of vendor and contractor performance.
To contribute improvement initiatives and feedback on quality performance in goods produced.
To carry out/complete other tasks/projects as assigned/deemed necessary by senior staff/management personnel.
Qualifications
High school diploma / G.E.D. Read, write and speak English.
Read and interpret drawings
Use gauges, calipers, micrometers and other hand inspection tools.
1-2 years experience as QC Inspector in an oilfield manufacturing environment or
3-5 years performance as machinist / skilled labor position within an oilfield manufacturing and production environment.
1-2 years knowledge and experience on inspection of machined threads (API and other National Standards)
1-2 years knowledge and experience on use of CMM
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Overhead crane, fork truck and related equipment experience / license a plus
Fork Truck experience / certification a plus
ISO 9001:2000 knowledge and understanding a plus
