[Company] is currently seeking applicants for the full time position of Construction Planner located in Sherwood Park, AB.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Enter Progress data into WFP tool on a daily basis.
· Work with the Field Planning Team regarding “unplanned activities, constraints or recovery plans” ensuring they are entered into the schedule.
· Work with the Construction Manager to initiate any Schedule Change Notices regarding changes in scope that effect schedule.
· Develop a comprehensive understanding of the scope of the FIWP/FWP/MAWP’s in order to contribute to a “Coordinated and Efficient” Construction plan.
· Develop an understanding of the Clients Engineering Specifications
· Flag late tasks that have been identified during planning meetings.
· Provide Project Scheduler with updated information from planning meetings. (Progress)
· Work with the Discipline Superintendents to ensure required trend alerts are initiated.
· Ensure” recovery plans” are introduced into the schedule as required (in order to get Shift Work Assignments that may have “slipped”, back on track.)
· Ensure any “additional work” tasks are entered into the Schedule.
The following skills and qualifications are required:
- Journeyman Certification in Field of Expertise
- Training on scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P-3(e) (c) etc.)
- 5+ years of Industrial Construction Experience
- 3 of these years in Construction Scheduling
