Location: Sherwood Park, AB, Canada
Company: Subscription Required
[Company], a division of [Company], is currently seeking a dynamic team member for a challenging opportunity as the Junior Estimator located in our Sherwood Park office.
 
The successful candidate will be required to provide support in the preparation of estimates.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
 
Develop estimates in accordance with [Company]’s estimating procedure;
Work within an internal team of Estimators to contribute to the estimating process;
Support Senior Estimators/Estimator in the preparation of estimates;
Perform material take-offs;
Use in-house software programs to process material take-off information;
Prepare requests for quotations and solicate third party pricing.
 
The following skills, experience and qualifications are strongly encouraged: 
 
·         Technical diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering and or;
·         Journeyman ticket (pipefitting, steel, insulation, scaffolding, millwright, or rigging) plus relevant experience estimating;
·         Be eligible for C.E.T registration through ASET
·         Relevant construction and/or estimating experience would be an asset but not a requirement;
·         Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, and Word;
·         Strong blue print reading skills.
