[Company] is currently seeking applicants for the full-time position of Mechanical Superintendent, located in Sherwood, Alberta.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Well versed in supervision of staff, organize and maintain construction personnel, including sub-trades and 3rd party sub-contractors.
- Ability to understand and implement safety practices, standards and apply them according to OH&S codes and regulations.
- Ability to draft and interpret mechanical drawings, estimating, scheduling and cost control capabilities and ability to use any number of computer programs and applications (Microsoft office).
- Well versed in piping and hydro testing.
The following skills and qualifications are required:
- Inter provincial Journeyman ticket would be an asset
- supervisory or project management training from an accredited construction industry association
- 3 - 5 years in a journeyman or supervisory capacity in an industrial or commercial work environment
- Proven proficiency as a foreman is preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, technical, leadership and communication skills
