Description:

Our client is looking for a warehouse technician for their Fort McMurray oil sands operation. This role will be filled on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a resource within the Maintenance Department in support of maintaining the asset
• Assist the warehouse coordinator in the physical set up and running of the warehouse working within industry best practices
• Initial activities will include setting up warehouse layout and equipment requirements, ensuring warehouse is ready to receive and issue materials
• Inspect incoming material and enter data into SAP. Advise warehouse coordinator of any discrepancies.
• Includes preparing print-out of purchase order, examining import documentation and matching materials with documentation to verify quantity and type of product Reports exceptions to Warehouse Coordinator
• Assist with inventory management
• Operate materials handling equipment as required

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Experience with computerized material management systems, preferably SAP
• 1 plus years in warehouse and inventory management
• Current Transportation of Dangerous Goods and WHIMIS Certification
• Basic knowledge of shipping/ receiving and issuing
• Industrial equipment knowledge of typical mechanical, electrical, instrumentation components
• Must have a valid Drivers License
