Be a part of our dedicated Occupational Health Centre team. As one of our casual on-call Occupational Health Nurses, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care for work-related injuries and illnesses, as well as participating in the management, surveillance and promotion of employee health.
As a casual, on-call Occupational Health Nurse, you will be required to have a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) certification or complete within three months of your start date. You are also expected to work at least three twelve-hour shifts per month, including at times the night shift.
Qualifications
- Three to five years nursing experience, preferably in an emergency or primary health care setting
- Well-developed clinical assessment skills
- Registered with Alberta Association of Registered Nurses (CARNA)
- Must be a resident of the Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
Other desirable assets include:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training
- Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) training
- Occupational Health Nursing diploma
- Experience with automated patient record systems
