Job Description:
- Under general supervision, handles all off shore drilling requirements, i.e., Single Point of Contact for all drilling activity; Inventory management; Manifests and directs material controls outbound and inbound shipments; Warehouse activity and surplus equipment disposal; Back up dockside expediter.
- Experience in offshore drilling operations, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Certified in fork truck operations.
- Oil and gas industry experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hours: 7:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday (Weekends when on call as required)
Scope:
The Warehousing Group is responsible for all warehouse and storage operations.
Responsibilities
- Documenting and controlling receipt, condition, and issuance of all goods, including temporary construction materials, small tools and consumables, permanent plant materials and equipment, and parts for facility maintenance and operations.
- Performs warehousing functions in conformance with the requirements of the prime contract with the client including, as applicable, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and its supplements.
- Receives all incoming shipments, makes arrangements for and oversees unloading and handling of goods, reconciles the goods received against purchase orders and shipping documents, counts, weighs, or measures all receipts, arranges for receiving inspections, identifies and documents discrepancies.
- Ensures proper identification of received goods and their storage location.
- Maintains auditable records of receiving and issuance data, non-conformances, maintenance, and warranty necessary for documenting the warehousing processes.
- Ensures goods are properly stored, secured, protected, and maintained according to manufacturers’ and Company standards as required to preserve warranty requirements and protect against damage and loss.
- Plans, layouts, arranges for, and maintains loading and unloading areas, adequately secured storage facilities, lay-down yards, and material handling equipment, appropriately sized and designed for the types and sizes of goods to be handled.
- Facilitate availability of goods to meet construction, maintenance, and other usage schedules.
- Arranges and processes returns, transfers, and outside services on goods; prepares shipping documentation and instruments to transfer care, custody, movement and control of the goods.
- Maintains records of on-hand inventory, performs cycle counts and otherwise verifies the accuracy of physical inventory, and takes other necessary precautions to avoid schedule delays related to material availability.
- Prepares and issues reports on physical inventories, including those of any loss, damage or destroyed goods.
Level Specific Responsibilities:
- Applies Company warehousing systems and processes.
- Applies warehousing terminology, measures, concepts and principles.
- Ensures that all associated administrative procedures are current and audit ready.
- Periodically audits completed work.
- Prepares and maintains reports.
- Maintains an accurate physical inventory and quality control.
- Prepares shipping part numbers according to established procedures and appropriate regulations.
- Identifies returned parts and determines if the parts should be returned to stock or the supplier, sent out for repair or scrapped.
- Provides technical assistance to lower level Warehouse Workers.
- Interfaces with appropriate personnel or management to resolve systems and operations issues.
- May handle hazardous material such as chemicals or explosives and maintain hazardous storage areas.
Experience / Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Technical Certification or specialized training preferred.
- Entrants to this position generally possess an average of 2 years of experience in material management.
- Understands warehousing terminology, measures, and concepts.
Salary: $17.70/hour
