Responsibilities:
To resource and select available equipment, on-site and off-site, for new work across all operations such that it can be deployed fit for purpose, and on a timely basis to the field.
To oversee the preparation of certification packs for despatch with equipment ensuring full validity and suitability for use in the field.
Maintain an up to date log entry in the data books register for all equipment, modified and new build, to ensure traceability, on a what, where and when basis at any time.
Through co-ordination with the Business Co-ordinators, to gather data and costings for the purpose of bid and tender preparations with the aim of appropriate costing and with a view to securing new business through existing and new customers.
To raise purchase order requisitions on J D Edwards for equipment, tools, facilities and stores requirements in a timely way as and when required.
Liaise with Governing bodies, regarding new and renewed certification, ensuring full validation of equipment.
To oversee and manage the day to day activity of technicians/maintenance/operational staff (when working on the base), for all assets in relation to: maintenance; procurement, receipt, storage and despatch, security, and facilities management.
To performance manage, develop and co-ordinate the work of direct line reports: Maintenance Supervisor; Materials & Logistics Co-ordinator, Technical Assistant and indirectly any stores personnel, such that support is aligned so they can deploy their activity effectively.
Any other duties as reasonably assigned by the Operations Manager.
