We currently have an opportunity for a part-time payroll assistant to work in our Land division in the SE Calgary Office.
With assistance from the payroll administrator the candidate will work as part of the Accounting/ payroll team to assist with administrative duties supporting the Department. This is a part-time position 3 days per week with semi-flexible hours.
Responsibilities include:
- Account Balancing
- Payroll Journals
- Data Entry
- Filing
- Various other duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of payroll procedures and business mathematics
- Experience in payroll is required
- Related education supplemented with payroll experience
- Experience working with computer applications including; Excel, Word, and payroll software
- Communicates effectively
- Works with numbers quickly and accurately
- Excellent time and task management skills
- Demonstrates clear understanding of rules and organized methods to guide work activities
- Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks with little supervision
- Willing to work within a dynamic team environment
