Responsibilities:
• Assistance on planning assignments related to municipal land use planning, sustainable community design, and land development
• Preparation of development concepts and subdivision plans
• Development and coordination of public and stakeholder consultation programs
• Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team providing planning advisory services to large municipalities
• Liaison with public and private sector clients
• Contribution to business development activities including proposal preparation and presentations
Qualifications:
• A degree in planning
• One to five years’ experience in a relevant planning setting
• Membership in or eligibility for full or provisional membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP)
• Willingness to travel
Experience:
• Familiarity with municipal planning policy and legislation and the land development process
• Demonstrated organizational, time management, prioritizing, and analytical skills
• Proficient in advanced office software, word processing and the development of spreadsheets
• Working knowledge of database management and GIS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
