Responsibilities:

Ensure that the Project Manager and Contract & Commercial Manger are provided with support and advice on all aspects of cost forecasting, internal and external reporting, change management, risk management, invoicing and procurement.
Ensure that the project revenue and profit is optimised at project level and at the same time understand and take into consideration factors at Company and Programme level.
Monitor and manage the process of measurement and reporting of variable profit determined by the measurement of Key Performance Indicators.
Contribute to the maximisation of project performance related profit by seeking to maximise performance on Key Performance Indicators.
Take the lead in preparing and updating monthly cost forecasts and reports for internal performance management reviews and attend meetings as and when required.
Prepare all payment applications and invoices to the Client in accordance with the contract.
Process and approve all payment applications from Subcontractors and Suppliers in accordance with the subcontract procedures.
Carry out all tasks and duties in accordance with the established Business Management System.
Assist in the selection of all major Subcontractors and in the preparation of all Vendor Evaluation & Recommendation Reports.
Monitor the work in progress and identify additional work, ensuring that Variation Order Requests are submitted in a timely manner.
Monitor and take a leading role together with the Project Manager and Contract & Commercial Manger in the management of all changes, variation order requests and variation orders including their pricing, negotiation and agreement.
Attend progress meetings with the Client and Subcontractors and prepare Minutes of Meetings when requested.
Interfacing with Project Accountant/Cost Controller on Variation revenue, Variation costs, Subcontract accruals, and other financial requirements of the project.
Keep project personnel aware of the contractual obligations and objectives and educate where necessary.
Administration of Subcontracts and Suppliers including negotiation and agreement of final accounts.
Ensure that all reports to the Client associated with commercial issues are in accordance with the contract requirements and are provided in a timely and professional manner. 
Provide the Project Manager and Contract & Commercial Manger with accurate summaries of commercial related matters and support on change and risk management issues.
Assist in the resolution of contractual / financial disputes and provide advice to the Project Manager and Contract & Commercial Manger. 
Preparation and agreement of the project final account.
Assist with project close out functions, including but not limited to the return of bonds, guarantees, issue of completion certificates (including once warranty period has expired).
Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role
Communication Presentation:
Excellent communication skills with internal and external clients
Produces accurate work of presentable quality

Requirements:

Must be able to demonstrate strong initiative
Good degree of Contractual and Commercial awareness 
Good organisational skills and smart working methods
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial, Contracts or Legal subjects.
Professional qualification or membership desirable but not essential.
Can articulate learning and training experiences.
Experience from Subsea projects an advantage alternatively experience of major construction projects would be required.
Experience of prioritising own responsibilities and work to deadlines.
Must be physically fit for required position subject to reasonable adjustments
