Our client is a Calgary based privately owned and operated oilfield Service Company.  This company specializes in superior service lines which include Acidizing, Cementing, Coiled Tubing, Fracturing and Nitrogen.  With numerous district field offices; their operations encompass the entire WCSB stretching from Northern British Columbia, across Alberta and into Southern Saskatchewan.
 
Our Client is currently seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Representative to join their successful team.  The chosen candidate will provide exceptional sales support and play an integral role in managing existing accounts and seeking new opportunities for business development.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for selling and marketing of cementing and stimulation services to down town oil and gas producers
  • Maintain current client base and develop new client relationships at the corporate and field levels
  • Participate actively in job follow-up activities. Work with field staff (Operations and/or Engineering) or visits to the field may be required.
  • Work closely with corporate clients to ensure corporate requirements of cementing and or stimulation programs are met
  • Work closely with Design Engineering staff to ensure that job designs meet the requirements of the clients program. Ensure the job designs are feasible, effective and consistent with equipment and materials available (logistics)
  • Respond to inquiries about Cementing/Stimulation services from corporate clients
  • Prepare and present cost estimate of jobs for clients as per templates and cost book
  • Collection of job performance data, feedback from operations on job issues and analysis/reporting of these items to support improvements
  • Identification of improvements to job design, performance tracking, equipment, materials and/or techniques associated with effective job completion
  • Assist in business and development support
  • Participate in the investigation of job problems and assist in implementation of improvements
  • Required to have excellent sales presentation skills to conduct product presentations to corporate and field level clients
Qualification, Experience & Education:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of field or technical sales experience related to cementing and stimulation
  • Previous marketing and sales experience is critical
  • Must have an above average understanding of drilling and completion WCSB applications and operations
  • A large network of contacts in O&G market is recommended
  • Post Secondary Education appreciated but not required
  • Should have good time management skills and be able to work unsupervised but still be part of a team
  • This individual should be at an advanced level in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Have the ability to work flexible hours
  • Have self confidence, be persistent in a positive way, and take initiative with enthusiasm
  • Have good communication and negotiating skills
  • Have the ability to build rapport and gain trust with client
