Responsibilities:
Analyze conceptual/preliminary/detailed design, for various Steam components like, Buckets, nozzles and Casing.
Perform life (LCF, HCF, crack growth and creep), and functionality of turbine components.
Participate flange-to-flange turbine cost out activities: simplify machine/forging/casting processes, replace expensive with more cheap materials and/or modify design.
Develop Mechanical design with ability to connect flow, aero thermal effects.
Field failure RCA studies and suggest robust design solution
Perform minor modifications in CAD model as a part of preprocessing
Interpret the analysis results and suggest, generate the ideas to improve the design.
Requirements:
Masters/Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Machine design/Turbo machinery etc
2 to 6 Yrs of core experience in turbo machinery components design, analysis and testing with good hands on with ANSYS. Steam turbine experience is preferred
Familiar with manufacturing processes
Turbo machinery component design and manufacturing experience
Self starter and ability to mentor projects with full design ownership
Fluent in English & excellent presentation skills
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
