Job Responsibilities
A junior - intermediate hydrogeologist is required to join our team of geologists and engineers in our Calgary office.
The successful candidate will:
Play a key role in a wide variety of physical hydrogeology projects.
Specific work may include mine dewatering projects, tailings pond assessments, injection and well testing, environmental impact assessments for the resource industry, water supply work and groundwater modeling.
Some contaminant hydrogeology may also be involved.
Design and conduct field investigations including groundwater investigations, pump tests, injection tests and site characterisations / investigations.
Work with Golder’s clients in the mining, resource and oil industries to produce conclusions, recommendations and develop long-term hydrogeological services.
Job Requirements
A post-graduate degree in Hydrogeology or related discipline is preferred.
4 - 7 years of relevant experience
Strong academic knowledge of physical hydrogeology.
Experience with Modflow, Aqtesolv and Flowpath preferred.
Eligibility for professional registration in Alberta.
Strong interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills
