One of Canada's great manufacturers of mechanical sealing devices, engineered fluid systems and related products is expanding its Edmonton Branch sales and service center. Our client continues to have strong growth with aggressive increases in market share, not by just relying on being a historical leader in a highly technical industry, but by continuing to increase the quality of the products, value solutions and people that serve their clients.
They need a great Sales Professional who not only has strong mechanical technical training but also knows rotating pump equipment. You will manage a diverse sales base ranging from equipment manufacturers to end-user hydrocarbon and chemical process accounts. You will be one of a select team of senior Technical Sales Professionals managing medium to large accounts, building relationships at all levels. You will be become a prominent force in your territory in a highly specialized market.
You'll be working with a great team in Edmonton that will be very supportive of what you do. The region has great leadership that will be dedicated to your personal, professional and financial growth, as they are with every person on the team.
As the Technical Sales Representative, your duties would include:
- Responsibility for many customer accounts where you will provide technical support, advice and guidance, training or coordination of training, recommendations, presentation of new products and solutions to customer problems.
- Growing sales by providing solutions to existing customers and development of new accounts.
- Acting as primary contact for Customers.
- Actively involved in Marketing strategy and initiatives, including: trade shows, golf tournament and other industry events, promotional campaigns, technical training, etc.
As the successful candidate, you will have the following qualifications:
- Possess a technical degree or diploma - ideally in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 3+ years of customer service and direct sales experience with a proven track record in industrial sales.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment would be considered an asset.
- Strong technical mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional relationship building skills.
- Ability to travel within the given territory.
This is a great opportunity, with an exceptional salary structure and benefit plan!
With base salary of $70,000-$100,000, based on experience and bonus plan that could be 10%-30% you could make $130,000 or more if you are experienced and can produce.
You will be provided with a truck with gas as well as other covered expenses.
They have an extensive benefit program that is 100% funded, with a great pension and educational support.
