Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
· Work within tolerances, utilizing various types of measuring equipment, to perform minimal adjustments and measurements to assure proper alignment of machines and parts. (after applicable training)
· Inspect work to ensure conformity to requirements. (after applicable training)
· Read and interpret blueprints and specifications. (after applicable training)
· Perform layouts to ensure the machining of quality work. (after applicable training)
· Responsible for good housekeeping practices.
· Comply with all applicable health, safety and environmental regulations.
· Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities
Qualifications/Requirements:
· High school diploma preferred with a strong background in math.
· Experience in machining and threading moderate parts on various types of machines.
· Broad knowledge in the selection and application of feeds and speeds .
· Experience with standard hand and machine tools and measuring instruments.
· Knowledgeable in use of inspection equipment and techniques and tools.
· Must be in the Edmonton Area.
Desired:
· Experience with Building, Refurbishing Valves, Wellheads & Christmas Trees
· Experience in Oil & Gas Machine Shop
· Good interpersonal skills
