ATCO is currently recruiting for Electricians and Apprentices.
As an Electrician you will be exptected to inspect, repair, install electrical components and fixtures and wires for all electrical apparatus, devises, circuits, of any voltage in the modular units. You will ensures that methods and procedures are in compliance with company's quality standards, specific electrical codes and other requirements.
Responsibilities
- Receives wiring diagrams or prints, specifications and instructions covering the installation and repair work to be done
- Analyzes all types of drawings and wiring diagrams to locate and install circuits and equipment
- Selects a logical approach to installation, troubleshooting and repair problems
- Considers all safety precautions before the task and follows proper lockout and tag out procedures
- Determines necessary tools and equipment
- Plans and performs work requiring a thorough working knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specification and electrical codes
- Dismantles, inspects, repairs, adjusts or replaces faulty parts or wiring
- Conducts circuit component tests and makes necessary corrections to code or according to specifications
- Installs conduit, fittings, switches, controls, fixtures, and wires, and connects all types of electrical equipment as required for new installations or replacement in modular units
- Makes all required splices and connector joints
- Adjusts all equipment for proper operating characteristics
- Reports defects in tools and equipment to the Lead Hand
- Keeps immediate work area clean
- Observes all safety rules

- Red Seal Journeymen
- Current Electrician Apprentices
