Company Overview:
[Company]is one of the worlds leading energy companies. Headquartered in[Location], and conducting business in approximately 180 countries, the company is engaged in every aspect of the oil and natural gas industry, including exploration and production; refining; marketing and transportation; chemicals manufacturing and sales; and power generation.
[Company]is currently searching for three Project Managers to play an integral role within the [Company]Business and Real Estate Services department. The Project Manager will manage projects through the [Company]Project Development and Execution Process (CPDEP-a gated capital decision process) phases 1-5 for of the Global Real Estate Projects & Services. Projects will typically be capital & expense upgrades to [Company]Office facilities. Projects are currently planned for [Company]facilities in the Houston, Texas area, the Louisiana Gulf Coast area, and the Pascagoula, MS area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides overall leadership; championing the application of CPDEP principles; and driving the behaviors necessary to ensure high level decision quality and top quartile cost performance.
- Provides work direction to less experienced team members.
- Coordinates activities across multiple disciplines.
- Coordinate all work from conception to completion of a project, including design, procurement, construction and start-up activities
- Project business outcomes
- Establishing objectives and expectations for implementation of all necessary [Company]Project Development and Execution Processes and tools, including obtaining "Best Practical" FEL and Cost Index scores
- Developing staffing plans for project
- Setting direction for experienced contract personnel
- Contract and purchase order development and placement
- Developing project objectives for safety, schedule, cost and operability
- The position is based in Houston and primary work will be to support Houston and various gulf-coast facilities.
- Some travel to support other domestic [Company]sites is likely.
- International work is a possibility as well depending on availability and opportunity.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering is required.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering combined with design experience is highly preferred.
- 5 years or more of progressive experience in facilities engineering and construction experience is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of successful project management practices.
- Good understanding of basic business principles and their application to projects. (i.e life cycle cost, ROCE, IRR, NPV cash flow analysis)
- Ability to work in and foster a strong team environment with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of facilities and integration of project work in operating facilities.
- Excellent customer focus.
- A strong safety champion who will lead projects to achieve "0" incidents and injuries.
