Job Description:
[Company]is currently accepting on-line applications for Lease Records Analysts. These positions are based in Houston, TX.
The Lease Records Analyst will be responsible for:
- Reviewing leases and related contracts to set-up and maintain leases and monitoring lease/contractual obligations.
- Processing monthly rental calendar, land drafts and broker invoices.
- Preparing Release of Lease and Assignments, as necessary.
- Maintaining and prepare acreage and rental reports for management.
- Providing assistance to personnel on a special project basis.
- Candidate should be flexible with changing priorities and possess strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Providing compliance with Lease obligations such as rentals/minimum royalties and lease expirations.
- Providing periodic reports to Landman personnel relating to pay recommendations/lease obligations and lease expirations.
- Maintaining/updating existing records for correctness and records standards.
- Coordinating with land and division order personnel on business associate changes or revisions, with particular interest in company operated properties.
- Coordinating activities with other lease records personnel related to adhering to lease requirements.
- Ability to create/analyze system reports pertinent to areas of interest.
- Responding to inter-departmental requests, particularly from legal, accounting and geophysical departments.
- Researching, analyzing, and maintaining oil and gas agreements, including ownership set up of new agreements in the land system.
- Processing lease ownership changes
- Developing and maintaining network relationships with government agencies, lease owners, mineral owners and partners.
- Gathering and analyzing data for oil and gas agreement obligations.
- Emphasis is on research, creating various reports, and analysis of data.
- Monitoring and follow up on lease expires and continuations in specified area with technical team and partners.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two years direct experience with various types of lease agreements and software packages used for Land functions.
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously within deadline requirements.
- Able to work with little to no supervision.
- Demonstrates creativity and innovation in approach.
- Must be able to work in multi-team environment.
- Well organized and detail oriented
