Job Description:
[Company]is currently accepting on-line applications for a Geophysicist. This position is based in Houston, Texas, working with assets in Arkansas.
The Geophysicist is responsible for:
- Working in a team environment to generate integrated 2D/3D interpretations and structural mapping for the planning of horizontal well bores in a large exploration and development project.
- Working with the staff geologist mapping regional markers over the entire project area.
- Utilizing attribute analysis to generate prospects and evaluate areas for well bore planning and prognosis.
- Assisting in optimum processing and/or reprocessing of 2D and 3D seismic data.
Required Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Geophysics.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.
- Ten years of industry experience as a seismic interpreter.
- Three years of direct experience generating development drilling locations.
- One year of direct experience in seismic processing and development level seismic interpretation (2D and 3D), including seismic inversion and AVO/AVA analyzes.
- Must have the initiative to work without direct supervision and showing innovation in selecting and utilizing the proper tools to model and identify subtle stratigraphic features.
