Essential Job Duties:
- Primary responsibilities include actively participating within a multi-disciplined team responsible for identifying and developing additional reserves
- Develop and implement innovative and efficient Drilling and Completion Programs (both office engineering and field implementation) in accordance with proactive health, environmental and safety goals
- Assist with contracting and procurement strategies for logistics, materials and third party services.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years of drilling engineer experience with a major or independent oil company.
- Planning and implementation of drilling and completion programs for vertical, deviated and horizontal wells in fields with flowing wells, water and gas injection, and various forms of artificial lift
- Self-starter, with a strong desire to deliver superior results
- Proven ability to develop & assist in implementing creative engineered drilling, completion & workover plans
- Knowledgeable in a wide range of drilling, completion and artificial lift technologies
- Cost effective/efficient attitude and approach
- Proven team player capable of working in a multi-discipline, multi-company, multi-national team environment to select and apply appropriate technologies for the effective development of additional reserves
- Willingness to work on a long-term assignment in California with the possibility of relocating domestically and/or internationally for future assignments
