Description
Leading supplier of quality products, systems and services for onshore and offshore drilling and production, with a century of experience in the oil and gas industry, seeks Senior Sales Representative with industry experience. Relocation assistance is available.
Duties:
- Obtain orders through telephone contacts, written communication, technical sales calls and personal visitations to client facilities explaining technical aspects and benefits of products and services offered.
- Provide technical assistance to the customer as to the specification or adaptation of products and services.
- Familiarize established accounts with new products and developments.
- Coordinate with company field service staff, inside sales, technical sales, engineering and other departments as required to determine and comply with customer needs.
- Assist in the preparation of standard quotations and write orders subject to approval.
- Investigate and expedite product warranty claims and complaints in accordance with marketing policies.
- Instruct customers' personnel regarding function, installation or removal procedures, operations and maintenance of equipment.
- May be required to troubleshoot or introduce new products on job site.
- May be required to perform field service jobs as workload and geographic conditions dictate.
- Plan, organize and conduct training programs and customer seminars within various geographic regions.
- Participate in meetings to determine sales patterns and strategies.
- Effectively utilize and monitor budgeted entertainment expense account for assisting in establishing and maintaining customer base.
- Keep management informed as to market potential, competitive products and other conditions that would affect company interests.
- Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the employer determines necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on market conditions, bookings forecasts, sales activities, sales volume, expense and other reports as required. Maintain records and files.
- Keep informed on competitive products, promotion matters, sales techniques, pricing, warranty and marketing policies.
- Collect past due accounts receivables for assigned accounts.
- Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities.
- Perform all duties as assigned by company management.
- Task complexity requires judgment and ability to render recommendations and/or decisions with significant impact to revenue.
- Errors or failures to achieve results could result in large expenditures of company resources to correct.
Requirements:
- College graduate preferred along with related work experience or a minimum of five years of relevant work experience may be used in lieu of education.
- Minimum 3 years wellhead and valve product experience.
- Detailed knowledge of products and services required.
- Field or rig experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must communicate effectively both written and verbally.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Experience with CAD or Visio preferred.
