The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications:
- 8 to 15 years of experience in primarily reservoir engineering
- augmented with additional experience in production engineering
- enhanced Oil Recovery experience is preferred (practical, operational, reservoir engineering and simulation experience in both waterflooding and miscible and immiscible CO2 flooding).
Education:
Candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Position responsibilities include to:
- evaluate EOR acquisition and business development opportunities
- evaluate business risks for injectant sources and assess ranges of uncertainty form forecasts from simulations
- analyze opportunities and build consensus with teams
- integrate the asset team plans, build relationships, foster collaborative communication, and promote strategic thinking and action
- develop and utilize models and performance data to assist in long-range planning, forecasting, and identifying potential reserve bookings for EOR growth
- perform field studies and utilize models and historical performance data to assist in the design and implementation of additional CO2 flooding pilot and development projects in identified growth areas
- utilize advanced reservoir engineering concepts in carrying out assignments
- mentor less experienced engineers to enhance simulations and geomodeling skills within the department
- perform geomodeling work using GoCAD (or PETREL) software
- and perform simulation work using VIP or equivalent compositional reservoir simulator
