Requirements:
- BS Petroleum Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Minimum work experience 8-10 years, 5 years including horizontal drilling & completion experience, air drilling a plus
- Well control experience
- PC skills must include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude
Essential Job Functions:
- Design and implement directional drilling plans
- Manage directional drilling program as part of overall drilling program managed by drilling superintendent
- Coordinate directional drilling with service companies and vendors
- Trouble shoot problems associated with the drilling of directional wells
- Provide management with timely updates based on outlined reporting requirements
- Prepare AFE’s for drilling or directional wells
- Review all third party plans for accuracy
- Review and approve invoices for directional drilling
- Other duties as assigned or need to meet objectives of job
