Responsibilities:

Responsible for the operation of power and handling equipment in horizontal applications onshore within client's time specification and in accordance with approved industry standards. 
Responsible for maintaining power and handling equipment at work area within client's time specification and in compliance with Company policy and procedure. 
To carry out stabber duties, including pipe alignment and stabbing, signalling Driller and operating handling tools, on stabbing board to avoid damage to pipe during pipe makeup operations. 
Contact Operations department on a daily basis or as instructed to receive job and check-in details. Additionally, attend pre/post job briefings as instructed to ensure the communication of issues and information is shared. 
To perform other auxiliary offshore duties such as cleaning of tongs, stowing of hoses and other housekeeping/maintenance duties in a safe manner as directed by the Crew Chief. 
Attend company, client and industry training as instructed by Technical Advisor. 
Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management, including Crew Chief, within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfill these duties.

Mechanical qualification or experience
Qualification covering Competence objectives of Service Technician 1
Offshore survival certificate (will be needed before working offshore
Minimum O level/Standard grades in Mathematics and English
Field experience as a Service Technician, Floorman, Roustabout or Derrickman
Confidence to ask questions of supervisor
Willingness to learn and ambition
Self motiviated and ability to work unsupervised.
Willing to work in adverse weather conditions.
Willing to work on an on call rota and be available to work with less than 24 hour notification.
