We are currently searching for an Inventory Reconciliation Analyst in our Downstream Refining & Supply Business Unit, in the Distribution department, located in Oakville, Ontario. This position is for a 6 month contract.
 
The Distribution Consolidated Administration oversees stock reconciliation and documentation/administration for 13 Petro-Canada Terminals and 20 third party terminals.
 
As an essential member of the Distribution Team, the Inventory Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for the stock management control component of terminal operations. The key responsibility of this position is to ensure that processes are in place to effectively monitor and control all inventories via delivery and receipts modes - rail, pipeline, truck and marine. Coordination with personnel in Product Supply, Supply Accounting, Product Delivery, Marketing, Third parties (other Oil Companies) and Distribution Terminal staff are daily activities as this communication is crucial to effective stock management.
 
Accountabilities
Daily terminal stock reconciliation
Analysis of abnormal stock loss/gain variations
Preparation and submission of specific reports within established time frames
Daily communication with Terminal staff regarding routine and abnormal issues
Coordinate seasonal and specialized product adjustments
Process product delivery corrections and adjustments
All daily activities must align with the Total Loss Management Standards & Procedures
 
Capability Requirements
Post secondary education, as relevant to the position
Efficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Sound working knowledge of SAP an asset
Familiarity with Toptech Management System as asset
Understanding of basic accounting concepts to perform analytical work
Knowledge of Total Loss Management concepts
Working knowledge of distribution and logistics functions an asset
Ability to provide accuracy and attention to detail in relation to the reconciliation process
Possesses analytical and methodical thought processes
Ability to utilize independent judgment
Excellent work priority and time management skills with multi-tasking capability
Proficient problem solving skills
Well-developed awareness of and commitment to customer service
Effective written and verbal communication skills
