Job Description:
Conducts process design and engineering studies, analysis, work scoping and simulations to select the best solution for petroleum refinery applications.
The Job:
- Process design including studies to select an appropriate solution from alternatives
- Analysis of equipment operation and operating problems and recommending a solution
- Preparing scopes of work and detailed process design activities
- Work activities could include running process simulations (Aspen and Hysys preferred, Pro-II acceptable)
- Experience in Process Design and/or Systems Engineering (PFD/P&ID development, heat and material balances, screening studies, FEL/FED/FEED work, etc.)
- Preparation of equipment data sheets and instrumentation data sheets, equipment lists, line lists and participation in a variety of design review
- The ability to supervise a junior process engineer engaged in these tasks may be required
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have an engineering degree and 5 to 10 years of process engineering experience in the petroleum / petrochemical industry
- A working knowledge in refining units and offsite utilities and would be an advantage
- Effective oral and written communication skills and strong technical skills are invaluable to this role
- A team player and with an ability to interact effectively with others in a task force environment is essential
- EPC experience is preferred. Eligibility for a Professional Engineer designation is an advantage
Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship. TN Visas are acceptable.
No relocation is offered for this position. Per Diem available to those that qualify
